40000 layer farm layout
In the 40,000 layer farming project, a 4-tier H tpye layer cage system is adopted to balance the requirements of efficient breeding and as little floor area as possible. With 72 birds in each set of layer cages, 4 rows with 139 sets of cages per row, the total number of birds is about 40,000.

Layer farm size calculation
Length of 40,000 layer farm: 100 m. The length of the chicken house is the sum length of equipment (including the layer cages in one row, the egg collecting machine, the manure belt system) and the leftover space between equipment and walls.
In this case, the length of the layer cages per row is 91650mm. The length of egg collecting assembly is 2900mm. The length of the manure removal system is 2600mm. The front and end reserved space is 1850mm and 1000mm. So the total length of the chicken house is 91650mm + 2900mm + 2600mm + 1850mm + 1000mm=100000mm=100m
Width of 40,000 layer farm: 12m. The total width of the chicken house is the length of 4 sets of layer cages plus the length of 5 aisles.The width of one cage is 1250mm.In this chicken house, the two aisles next to the walls are 1280mm each, while the 3 center aisles are 1480mm each. So the total length of the chicken farm is 1250mm×4 + 1280×2 + 1480×3=12000=12m
Height of 40,000 layer farm: 4m.The height of the chicken house is 4m, which can accommodate the chicken cages and egg collecting machines, also good for chicken ventilation and climate control in the layer farm.
