The A-type layer cage is a multi-tiered layer cage system arranged in a stepped (staggered) structure, where the cages on each level are arranged in a stepped pattern along the longitudinal direction, giving the overall side profile an appearance similar to the letter "A". This structure, through its staggered design, facilitates natural manure removal, optimizes ventilation pathways, and separates the operating areas. It is suitable for layer hen farming projects aiming for medium stocking density, good environmental control, and high manual or semi-automated management efficiency.

Climate: Dry or humid tropical areas, cold, temperate zones. The A-type layer cage can be manufactured with both cold galvanized steel and hot galvanized steel to adapt to different weather conditions.

The principal consideration is to control the total expense of a chicken farm. One thing that can’t be neglected is that it takes more land space than H type layer cage. Once the breeding number is large, you’d better look at the H-type layer cage.
